Question

Duplicate estimate emails

Somewhere between 15% and 50% of the time, when I emaill an estimate to a customer, Intuit sends it twice in quick succession. Just now I sent one and it went out three times in 90 seconds.  Can you please stop doing that?

Please check your Cc and Bcc fields within your message settings to verify that no email addresses are duplicated. This setup can sometimes cause the system to send duplicate emails to your recipients.

To check these fields, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings, then select Account and settings.
  2. Open the Sales tab on the left menu.
  3. Find the Messages section and click the pencil icon to edit.
  4. Review the Cc and Bcc fields for any duplicate email addresses.

If there are no duplicates and the issue persists, try sending an estimate in an incognito window or a different web browser.

Yeah, it’s not sending one email to multiple extra people, it’s sending the same email more than once.

After verifying that there are no duplicate email addresses, yet estimates are still being sent more than once, this issue requires a deeper technical review.

To get this sorted out quickly, the best next step is to connect with our Intuit Experts. They have the tools to look directly into the backend email logs and see exactly why it is triggering twice.
