Question

How do I change the number format on invoices for time entry charges? It currently displays in hh:mm format (eg: 5:30). I need it to print in decimal format (eg. 5.5).

Hi there,

Recording Time Activities is a great way to keep track of the hours spent on a specific job so you can bill your customer accordingly. I know how important it is for you to use this feature in a way that's easiest for you and your business.I'll explain the format of your Time Activity record.

Currently, QuickBooks Online displays hours as hh:mm. At this time, you're unable to change this option.

I can appreciate that using a decimal format would be better suited to you and your business. I'd recommend submitting feedback about this to our product development team. You can do this by clicking the Gear icon > Feedback. We're always looking for new ways to improve QBO and make it more user friendly.

I hope this helps shed some light on this for you.

Cheers.
