It's vital that all your transactions are correctly entered so that your books can be well balanced. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you create and send transactions to your customers so you can get paid for your services. I can provide some information about invoices being sent repeatedly.
One possible cause for invoices being repeatedly sent to a customer on a schedule would be that you created a recurring transaction template for this invoice. If you'd like to see if this is the case, you'd need to go to the Gear icon, then Recurring transactions. You can then click on the arrow in the Action section of the row of the recurring template in question, then Delete.
