Based on what you've described, I suggesting uninstalling and reinstalling the app to refresh it. Doing this helps fix most display issues the app may be having. Once you've done this, open the app and click on the Menu icon > click on Receipt snap > click on the Receipt camera icon and take a picture of your receipt.
