When updating your GST, you'll need to apply the new rate manually in the TAX column when creating an invoice. To better isolate this issue, try signing in to QuickBooks Online (QBO) using a private or incognito window. This mode doesn't use the existing cache data and helps us confirm browser-related issues. Here's how:
For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
For Safari browser: Command + Option + P
If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. The overtime collection of data can create corruption, however, removing this should fix the issue. You can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.
Also, QuickBooks is GST-ready where the GST-specific features are automatically enabled for you at no additional cost. Here are the things you'll be able to do with the QuickBooks GST solution:
You can continue to create transactions (invoices, expenses) with the new GST tax rates without any disruption. You won’t lose the ability to create backdated transactions (before July 1, 2017) using prevailing rates.
Capture GST-specific information as mentioned below to make your invoices GST compliant.
Your GST Identification Number (GSTIN): In case you don’t have GSTIN click here to learn more about the registration process.
New code for the products(HSN) and/or services (SAC) you sell: Learn more to understand these new codes.
GSTIN of your customers (if applicable): You can add the GSTIN of your suppliers to facilitate the generation of accurate GST returns (GSTR).
Customise invoice template to display the GST-specific information mentioned above.
I'd like to know how you get on after trying the steps, as I want to ensure this is resolved for you. Feel free to reply to this post and I'll get back to you. Take care always.
