Has anyone set up the postponed vat code please, what settings did you apply to get it feeding into sales and purchases reverse charge?

I’ve got some information for you, Emma.

 

You can set up a custom tax rate for the Postponed VAT code. Then, make sure the items added in QuickBooks Online are taxable. This way, the VAT detail will show up when you create transactions.

 

Here’s how:

 

  1. Select the Gear icon, then choose Products and Services.
  2. Locate and select the item.
  3. Make sure it’s Taxable.

 

You can also contact your accountant to ensure everything is set up accordingly.
