Question

We are a VAT registered company in the Philippines but we are also a PEZA registered company which exempts us from payment of VAT. What should we do to avail of this?

Hi there, netprosync. To be exempted from the VAT payment, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Live Support Team.

You need to send us a copy of your tax-exempt certification from PEZA , along with your Company ID and the product or service purchased. This allows QuickBooks to update your account to sales tax exempt.

You can reach them by following these steps:

  1. Open your QuickBooks account.
  2. In the upper right corner, click (?) Help icon.
  3. Choose how you want to connect with us:
    • Assistant tab: Type Talk to an expert.
    • Search tab: Click Contact Us button.

You can check out this article to learn more about our support hours: Get help with QuickBooks products and services.

Once your account is updated to sales tax exempt, you will no longer see sales tax charges on future orders or service fees.
