Question

Can I change inclusive of tax back to exclusive of tax to all my transactions? My default has not changed so don't know how I ended up with amounts inclusive of tax.

Yes, you can, tracey47, by manually editing the tax rate details for each transaction in the Amounts are field.

To view your transactions, navigate to the All Sales tab from the Sales menu. Next, select the View/Edit option to access the transaction details. Once opened, update the tax rate in the Amounts are field from Inclusive of Tax to Exclusive of Tax, and then click Save. Repeat the process as necessary. For your reference, please see the screenshot below.

After that, you can check the Audit log to see who created those transactions. Then, ensure the Price is inclusive of sales tax checkbox in your items' setup is unchecked. This way, your sales entries' tax rates are all exclusive of tax.

Once everything is all set, you may want to generate the Taxable Sales Summary report to see how much sales tax you owe and make sure your data is accurate before filing your return.
