Question

I have noticed that once I post an expense or a bill, with HST/GST manually added. The HST/GST changes even if I am just adjusting the memo or simply changing the date.

Running the basic troubleshooting steps can help resolve the issue.

You can start by adding an expense or bill via incognito mode or the InPrivate window. These sessions do not store the search history from your browsing activities.

Here’s how:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If you didn't encounter the same issue, shift back to your regular browser and clear its cache to remove the stored data. You’ll find the detailed instruction through here: How do I clear my browser cache and temporary Internet files?

After following these steps, you can update the transactions’ information without changing the HST/GST.
