It's great to hear from you, and I hope you've had a great week so far. I know accuracy is key when it comes to your books, and sale tax filing is no different. I'd be happy to help you with deleting a sales tax payment in QuickBooks Online.
When you're working with sales tax filings and payments in QuickBooks Online, it's all handled through the sales tax module via the Taxes tab. In the Sales Tax section of that tab, you can see your filings as well as the payments made toward them. Select the Payments tab, find the payment you want to delete, then choose the down-arrow in the Action column. There, you'll see the option to Delete the payment.
If you mean to say that you'd like to undo your sales tax filing, there's an extra step involved. When you have an accountant user on your QuickBooks Online account, you can ask them to undo the sales tax filing for you. They can use the steps in this article to help you out: How do I un-file a sales tax return? If you'd like to find an accountant to work with, you can head to the My Accountant tab and choose the Find a pro to help button to find a professional near you.
If you don't have an accountant, that's okay! QuickBooks Online's tech support team can help. Our team has a tool to undo a sales tax filing so you can make whatever changes you need. Here's how you can reach us.
