The sales tax centre in QuickBooks Online includes some powerful tracking to make filing taxes easy. By default, the system tracks both taxes in a single general ledger account. This is necessary if you want to take full advantage of the sales tax features, but I can show you how to see the amounts separately.
While the liabilities will be represented in a single account, you can easily see them broken down separately by running a simple report:
Head to your Reports tab on the left-hand side of your QuickBooks Online.
Scroll down to the Sales Tax section and select you GST/HST - QST Detail Report.
This is an incredibly useful report, as it'll accurately give you a breakdown of GST Payable, GST Receivable, QST Payable, and QST Receivable on their respective lines. Alternatively, the GST/HST - QST Summary report can be used to quickly see the totals.
Let me know if there's anything else I can help with.
