Two tax boxes showing on Sales Tax Overview page

Third Party program entered tax settings automatically into QBO. Now I have two tax tabs showing on the Sales Tax overview even though I made the new tax inactive. Now I have two tax boxes showing on the Sales Tax Overview even though I made the new tax inactive. The annual sales tax owing ends up showing on the inactive tax box  after I have "Mark as Filed" even though it was originally showing in the CRA box to start with.

I appreciate you providing details regarding the two boxes that shows in your Sales Tax page in QuickBooks Online, @Annie3. I'll be providing clarification to help answer your inquiry.

In QuickBooks Online, a new box appears in your Sales Tax Overview whenever a new tax agency is established, whether it was added manually or via a third-party provider. If you have already deactivated the tax rates associated with that agency, please note that the agency box itself will remain on the overview page, as there is currently no way to delete it. Rest assured, as long as the tax items are inactive, they will no longer affect your financial records or future transactions.

For reference, see the screenshot below.
