Where do I post a Reim. from the gov. for the gst/pst reimbursement

Hi Brenda:

When you submitted your tax reimbursement to the government, it should have been based upon a 'receivable' entry on your balance sheet.  If you're using QBO you should be able to go to Taxes in the menu, locate the return that lead to the refund, and from the drop down beside the return select 'record refund'.

Alternatively, you can perform a simple journal entry to credit (eliminate) your Accounts Receiveable from the government, or taxes liability on the balance sheet, and debit your bank account.
