Hi lloydlandscape,

Welcome to the Community. It's essential to correctly record your sales tax to ensure that the correct amount is reported to the CRA. QuickBooks Online is a flexible program that simplifies the way you manage your books. I'd be glad to help you with taxes.

I encourage to verify if your taxes are set up correctly.

  1. Select Taxes on the left navigation menu.
  2. Click on Manage sales tax.
  3. Confirm if the percentage of Tax on sales column and Tax on purchases are correct.
  4. If you added your taxes manually, you can click on the drop down on the right to edit the tax rate

You also have the option to add a new provincial tax to track the correct tax percentage.

  1. In the Manage sales tax section, select Add tax.
  2. In the section "Start tracking in a new province" , click Add.
  3. Choose a province or territory,
  4. Click on Add.

If the percentage of the sales tax column is correct, but not correct on the summary report, I encourage you to clear your browser cache and cookies. They can prevent the system from functioning effectively. You can refer to the following steps to perform browser troubleshooting.

If the steps provided above don't work, I recommend that you contact our customer support team. They will be able to take a closer look at this.

Let me know if you have questions, I'll be happy to help.
