HOW TO SET INCLUSIVE AND EXCLUSIVE TAX

The reason you can't find the Inclusive or Exclusive of Tax options under Products and Services is that your tax center hasn't been set up yet. QuickBooks Online hides these tax toggles across all menus, forms, and Product and Services until you actively enable tax tracking.
 

To turn this feature on:
 

1. Select the Taxes menu on your left-hand menu bar (this may be labeled as VAT or GST depending on your region).
2. Click the Set up tax button.
3. Follow the quick, one-minute onscreen guide to input your business tax registration details and standard rates.
    

Once this is active, the system will automatically unlock these options for you. Rather than assigning this status to each individual item profile, you will see a new Amounts are dropdown menu appear directly on your Invoices and Sales Receipts, allowing you to choose how your prices behave.
