I have moved, and my tax rate is lower than in my previous town. I have 2015 QuickBooks Pro, and the computer is not connected online. I can see how to change each line item but I need all information / items changed to the lower 6.25% tax rate. how can I do this. it would take forever to change each item 1 at a time.

You'll need to manually change the sales tax rate for each item, Kenblacks.

Since you're using QuickBooks Desktop 2015, which is an older version, options for automating or simplifying processes may be limited compared to newer versions.  Follow these steps to manually update the sales tax rate to 6.25%:

  1. Go to the Lists menu, then select Item List.
  2. Double-click the item you want to update.
  3. Edit the sales tax rate for the item to 6.25%.
  4. Click OK to save the changes.

This update will immediately apply to any new transactions using the modified sales tax item. However, for transactions created before the rate change, adjustments must be made manually.
