I'm here to share some details about uploading your refund receipts to QuickBooks Online (QBO) as a sales receipt, @rabashishsbhatia.
QBO handles sales receipts and refund receipts in distinct ways. A sales receipt documents finalized sales where the payment for goods or services is made immediately. On the other hand, a refund receipt records instances where goods are returned or services are canceled, showing that the customer has been reimbursed.
Since the two transactions can't be interchanged, there are some options you can consider. The first is manually entering the refund receipts in QBO to ensure accuracy.
Go to +New and select Sales receipt.
Fill in the necessary details based on your refund receipts.
Do this to all of the refund receipts.
The second one is to utilize a third-party application that allows importing refund receipts as sales receipts.
