Exceeding numberof atock items allowed how can the file be reduced

Let me help you accomplish your task in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). 

The maximum number of entries you can create for inventory items in the QBDT Premier version is 14,500. If you're about to reach its limits, you can delete items that you no longer use. Here's how:
 

1. Click on Lists at the top menu bar.
2. Select on Item List.
3. Choose the item you want to delete.
4. Right-click on it and press Delete Item.

Take note that deleting them needs to be done manually since eliminating items in bulk is currently unavailable.

The condense feature is only available in the US version. You may consider purchasing a 3rd party condensing service to remove old transactions and it will reduce your unused items to lower the size limit. You will have a new company file to work with and use the old file as an archive.
