Do I need a computer to create a deposit or can it be made from the app?

If the payment you are referring to is a customer payment sitting in a holding account (such as Undeposited Funds) that you are now moving into your current account, you can record it as a Bank deposit.

Here's how:

  1. Click + Create.
  2. Under Other, select Bank deposit.
  3. In the Account dropdown, choose your current account.
  4. Check off the payments you want to deposit and click Save and close.

However, if you're transferring money between two actual bank accounts, you can use the Transfer feature rather than a standard deposit transaction.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the + Create in the top left corner.
  2. Select Transfer under the Other column.
  3. In the Transfer Funds From dropdown, select your holding account.
  4. In the Transfer Funds To dropdown, choose your current account.
  5. Enter the exact Transfer Amount and Date.
  6. Click Save and close.

As for creating a deposit, this feature isn't currently available in the mobile app. You can still create deposits by signing into QuickBooks through a web browser on your phone or desktop computer.

Feel free to return if you have follow-up questions.
