Question

I have a payment to a supplier to match against various invoices and a credit note. How do I include the credit with the bills to match the payment from the bank?

You’ll have to apply the supplier credit to the bill first to reduce its balance. Afterwards, match the downloaded payment to the bill.

Here's how:

  1. In the + Create, select Pay bills.
  2. Select the bill you created. You'll notice that your available credit shows under the Credit Applied.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Go to All apps and select Accounting.
  5. Click Bank Transactions.
  6. On the For review tab, select the payment transaction.
  7. Choose Match.
  8. From there, you’ll see your bill payment listed as a suggested entry. Click Match.
