Question

I have all transactions missing from 5/5/26 to 6/25/26. I exported my bank statement to a csv and QB won't import it. I'm in the middle of an audit and need these numbers

Can you tell me the exact error message QuickBooks shows when the import fails? You can find your missing transactions in the Bank transactions section. Sometimes, transactions land in Excluded, or they were matched automatically and filed under Categorized without you realizing it.

  1. Just go to All apps, then Accounting, then Bank transactions.
  2. Select your bank.
  3. Look for your transactions in the For review, Categorized, or Excluded tabs.
  4. Then, categorize them to the correct account.

Additionally, double-check that your CSV file was formatted correctly. Even one incorrect column or date format can prevent the transactions from importing. You can refer to this guide for help: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.
