I quite frequently work more hours than I should weekly and rather than charge on the invoice the hours will be paid in lieu In the future. Is there a way this can be totalled up weekly and out on the invoice so the client is aware of the total also

Yes, there's a way to track overtime hours for time off in lieu and present them on your client's invoice without charging for them immediately.

You can set up a service item and add it as a line item with a £0.00 rate. Here's how:

  1. Go to All apps, look for Sales and get paid, then click Products and Services.
  2. Click New product/service, then choose Service.
  3. Add all the necessary details.
  4. Click Save and close.

After that, use these steps on how to add the overtime hours in the weekly invoice:

  1. Choose the service item you created for the overtime hours (in lieu).
  2. Proceed to the Quantity column and indicate the number of overtime hours worked that week.
  3. Set the Rate / Amount to £0.00 so the client isn't billed for them.
  4. You may add a description such as "3 hours worked in lieu. Total cumulative TOIL owed to date: 12 hours."
  5. Add all the details that are needed for the invoice before sending it to your client.

Let me know if you need anything else.
