Question

Multiple Self-Employed working in the same business

If we are a husband and wife team who are each separately self-employed, but work out of the same bank accounts, and have many shared transactions, both income and expense, how do I set this up in Quickbooks?

Naturally, I do not want to double enter all of the data. I just want a simple way of managing our accounts.

Any thoughts would be welcome....

Hello DDHawk, thanks for posting on the Community page,  so it would be best to just exclude/delete any transactions that do not relate to your business but to your wife's business and vice versa if they do not relate to your husband's business but to yours just exclude delete them. That is the best and most simplest way to do it with you both sharing the same bank account but having separate QuickBooks accounts. This article tells you more on how to delete/exclude transactions.
