Getting receipts to show up in For review

If receipts you've added, whether through the app, a direct upload, or by email, aren't showing up in For review, start with the basics.

1. Refresh the mobile app

Outdated app data is a common cause. On Android, go to Settings, then Refresh Data, then Yes. On iOS, go to your phone's Settings, then General, then iPhone Storage, select QuickBooks, then Offload App. If that doesn't help, uninstall and reinstall the app to make sure you're on the latest version.

2. Try a different way in, in the meantime

You don't have to wait on the app to get your receipts recorded:

  • Upload directly from a browser: go to Accounting, then Receipts, and select Upload from computer or Upload from Google Drive.
  • Attach a receipt straight to its transaction instead of waiting for it to come through the Receipts tab.

3. If receipts are still missing

Once a receipt is added, it lands in For review, where you match it to a transaction or create a new one, and it then moves to Reviewed. If receipts still aren't appearing after trying the steps above, this needs a closer look at your account, since a browser or article can't confirm what happened to a specific upload or email.

Hi there, Ejap. Let's perform some troubleshooting to find the receipts you've uploaded.

It seems the problem was due to outdated data in your mobile app. Clearing the app's data on your device resets it to its default state and can help refresh the app system.

For Android devices:

  1. Open the Menu and tap Settings.
  2. Select Refresh Data.
  3. Confirm by choosing Yes.

For iOS devices:

  1. Go to Settings and tap General.
  2. Select iPhone Storage and look for the QuickBooks Online app.
  3. Choose Offload App.

After completing the troubleshooting steps, navigate to the For Review tab again and check if the receipts are now visible.

However, if it still doesn't show, I suggest uninstalling (press and hold the app icon) and reinstalling the app to ensure you're using the latest version.

If you have followed the steps above and the issue persists, I recommend reaching out to our Live Support team. They have the tools to securely access your account and investigate further.

You can upload receipts using a web browser or manually attach the receipt to the transaction, usersuzanneflux.

If you've already completed the troubleshooting steps provided by my colleague and are still encountering the issue, I recommend uploading your receipt through a supported web browser or manually attaching the receipt to the transaction for the meantime.

To upload the receipt through a web browser, you can follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks account via a web browser.
  2. Navigate to the Accounting tab and select Receipts.
  3. Click Upload from your Computer or Upload from Google Drive.
  4. Select and add your receipts.

To manually attach the receipt to the transaction, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks account via a web browser.
  2. Go to the Accounting tab and select Bank transaction.
  3. Select the specific transaction.
  4. Click the + icon under the attachment icon.
  5. Select and add the receipt.

If the issue still persists after following these steps, I recommend reaching out to our live expert for a closer review and a real-time resolution.
