Question

How do I set it so that Quickbooks keeps invoice amounts on inclusive of tax and doesn't default to exclusive of tax when creating an invoice?

I want to be able to set the default for all new invoices.

To change this, please make sure you have already set up your VAT taxes. Here is how you can set it to default for all your future invoices:

  1. Click on the Gear icon in the top-right corner and select Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Advanced tab.
  3. Scroll down to the Accounting section and click the Pencil icon to edit it.
  4. In the Default tax rate selection dropdown, choose Inclusive of Tax.
  5. Hit Save.

This change will apply to all your new invoices moving forward.
