My expenses figures are not transferrin to my vat account. It looks as though the figures have not ben saved properly?

There are a few things to check if the expense figures are not pulling through to the open return:

- If this is your first filing on QuickBooks, only transactions dated on or after the start date of the open return will pull through to the VAT return

- Check that the transactions have the correct QuickBooks purchase VAT code applied 

- If you are on the Cash VAT accounting scheme, purchases recorded on a bill will only show when the bill is marked as paid 

- Reconcile the bank account (Cog Wheel > Reconcile) to ensure all transactions are entered with the correct amount
