My vat audit report is showing my payroll, why is this please? I have it down as No VAT as instructed but surely it should not be in the vat return?

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), once No VAT is selected as a Tax code on the transaction, it shouldn't report on the VAT return. 

To isolate the issue, I recommend opening the VAT 100 report and check Box 1 or 4 if there's a payroll posted. If yes, double click it and make sure that the whole transaction set to No VAT.
