The VAT amounts are not showing in the Taxes Section. They are being posted to a VAT Control account rather than a VAT Liability account - why would this be?

The VAT control account is a liability account and is where any transactions that have a VAT code, before being filed, are posted. Do the dates of the transactions you are creating correspond to the dates of the period showing in the taxes section?
