VAT Payment in Charges account??

Hi there, I've paid our first VAT bill and recorded it in the taxes section of Quickbooks online, but the amount appears to be sitting in our charges account in quickbooks? Any suggests what I've done and how I can fix it? Many thanks! Heather

Hello Heather Kefi Textiles, Thanks for posting on the Community page, If you have put it to the wrong account you can just delete it on the payment tab of the vat section and do it again so it is on the right account for you.  go to vat>payments>view>delete at the bottom> yes and then start again and record it again to the right account.
