We are not VAT registered but the VAT box comes up on every transaction and needs completing. Is it possible to remove that requirement?

The option to turn off VAT is not currently available in QuickBooks Online. This is because the default accounts have already been generated. However, as a workaround you can change the default settings to No VAT. Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
2. In the Advanced section, click the pencil icon in Accounting.
3. Update the Default tax selection to No VAT.
4. Click Save and then Done.
