error in amount of payment applied to a customer invoice

When I apply a payment to a customer invoice, it shows the amount I entered, but is not applying the whole amount to the invoice.

Thanks for connecting with us here.  Having your transaction recorded inaccurately is quite concerning.  The screenshot you've provided definitely shows unexpected behavior in QuickBooks.
