As a cloud software, QuickBooks Online is constantly backing up your data for you in the background. You can trust us with your information as we have measures in place to make sure it's saved and secure. If you do want to create a backup for your own records as well, you can make use of third-party apps that connect with the program which do just this. Simply visit the Apps tab in your account, then use the search field to find apps you can use to create backups. You can also consider exporting certain data such as reports and lists for your files. Next, changing the phone number used in the two-step verification of your account is a simple process, although you already need to have access to the account. If you do, there are two ways to do it. The first is to go directly through QuickBooks by clicking the Gear icon, then choosing Intuit Account. This takes you to a page where you can change details including your phone number. Another way to access this same area is to log in using accounts.intuit.com.
