Question

Our General Cheques are in the middle of the paper, not at the top. Is there a setting so I can print off general cheques without having to order a bunch of new ones.

Hello there, reception7.

Since your ordered cheques are in the middle of the page, let's configure the print settings within your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

This step would help us ensure that every cheque prints accurately and aligns with your pre-printed forms.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks account.
  2. Go to All apps, then Expenses & Bills.
  3. Pick Expense transactions and then Expenses.
  4. Click the Print Cheques option.
  5. Navigate to the Print setup menu.
  6. Choose Voucher or Standard and hit the View preview and print sample button to view sample data.
  7. Select the Yes, I'm finished with setup option when your cheques are aligned correctly.

If your test print doesn't match the expected result, you may need to adjust your printer settings. Since these adjustments can vary, check out these brand-specific resources:

You can also find specific troubleshooting tools within the Adobe Acrobat software.

If the forms remain misaligned after adjusting the print dialog, you may consider ordering QuickBooks-compatible cheques to ensure your cheques are processed and printed correctly.
