Thank you for reaching out regarding your QuickBooks entries, MMCWinnipeg. I understand how important it is to ensure your financial records are accurate and that accidental changes like overwriting deposits and checks can be concerning. Don’t worry, I’m here to help guide you through the steps to identify and correct the discrepancies.

Currently, QuickBooks doesn't have a built-in feature to revert entries to a previous date, as it doesn’t automatically take snapshots of data changes. However, you can manually correct the transactions by going to the Chart of accounts. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose the Chart of accounts.
  3. Filter and select the transactions you want to edit.
  4. On the Action column, click to View register.
  5. Click on the Check column to edit or delete the transaction.
  6. And click Save.

You can also use the Audit Log to locate specific changes you made and manually correct deposit and cheque to check amounts from your records. Also, you can compare your bank statement with your QuickBooks transactions before and after the changes.

You can always post again here if you have other reconciliation concerns. I'll be here ready to assist you.
