Account numbers on Chart of Accounts

Thanks for reaching out to Community!  I can understand how you'd be able to easily identify your accounts when numbers are applied.  As mentioned, it would be a great time saver if you had the option to edit them in bulk or as a batch in QuickBooks Desktop.  I'd be happy to assist!

Although there's no current way to edit the account numbers in bulk, an alternative method would be to export the Chart of Accounts in IIF format, add the account numbers, save the file (not save as) and then import it back into QuickBooks.  Here's an article to assist you with IIF files.
