In some cases, issues with the mobile app can arise due to cached data preventing it from loading new information. To address this, try logging out of the app and then logging back in. It refreshes the app and retrieves updated information.

 

To further optimize the app’s functionality, follow these steps:

 

  1. Open your device’s Settings and tap General.
  2. Select iPhone Storage, then locate the QBO app.
  3. Tap the Offload App to free up storage and refresh its performance.


Alternatively, you can access QuickBooks Online through a web browser on your mobile device to upload receipts.

YES!! We recently started using Workforce for time tracking and I've had two employees show me their mobile app and they cannot edit their out time when creating a time entry. Android version has day & time options for both the Start time and the End time, but on iPhones, they can edit the day in only one place, then they can edit the start time, but not the end time. The end time is permanently stuck on the current time.

 

Workaround is to use the "duration" tab instead of the time tab, but it is horribly cumbersome!

All the settings are correct, i.e. nothing has changed on our end but suddenly at least 2 people are having this problem

 

We have tried re-installing the app, re-starting the phone, etc.

Since you’ve already tried the troubleshooting steps, I recommend reaching out directly to our Live Support team. They can further check why your employees are unable to edit their time out and guide you through the next steps to resolve the issue.

 

Here's how:
 

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select the Search tab, then choose Contact Us.
  3. Type in your issue or concern in the field.
  4. Hit Continue.
  5. Click the Chat or Callback option.

Yes!  I cannot edit the clock out time on the app.  It’s super-frustrating because I don’t always remember to clock out exactly when I leave.  Never had an issue with it until this most recent update to the app (on Jan. 22, 2026).  It definitely needs to get fixed!
