Can i ask for a deposit to be paid upon client approving my estimate?

Yes, Duanesillje. You can request a deposit once your client has approved an estimate. To get paid, ensure you have an active QuickBooks Payments account and are using the modern template.

If you're all set, here’s how to enable the deposit feature:

1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Account and Settings.  
2. In the Sales tab, click the pencil icon in the Sales form content section.
3. Toggle the Deposit switch to On.
4. Once done, click Save.

Once enabled, you can add deposit requests to your estimates. When your customers receive them, they will see an Accept and Pay Deposit button.
