Changing customer job on a bill

Hello,

Hopefully someone can help me with this.  With bills that are linked to a specific PO, if the item is no longer needed for the Customer Job on the PO and it's returned to our inventory, what's the best way to make that adjustment?   Can I just overwrite the Customer Job or will that somehow mess up the GL ?  I've attached a copy of a bill which I need to show going back to our inventory.  Please help.
