How do I record a payment to my Amex that was using Amex rewards points?

Hello there, Jennifer5. To record this using Amex rewards points, we need to create an account in the Chart of Accounts first.

To set this up, go to Transactions > Chart of Accounts, select New, and create an Other Income account named "Credit Card Rewards income" to act as a "home" for the value of your points.

1. Next, record the payment by going to + New > Expense. Set the Payee> payment account to the Amex credit card account itself.
2. Then, select a Payment Method>Category, use the Other Income or Rewards Income account.
3. Enter the Amount and click the Save button.
