how to change account type COST OF GOODS SOLD to Project Costs

QuickBooks Online does not include a Project Costs as an account type, @munawar60.

Please know that account types are set up to follow accounting standards. I recommend consulting with your accountant to determine the best way to track project-related costs. They can help you choose and set up the right account type which fits to your needs.
