how to put daily sales into quickbooks in csv format

I have a POS system that does not connect with quickbooks online. I was able to generate the daily sales reports for the months I have been working with QBO. It is in csv format. Is there a way to simply drag the sales document into QBO without the additional work?

Hello, Gail. You can import your daily sales into QuickBooks Online (QBO) by using a CSV file to import either Sales Receipts or Invoices. Be sure to use the sample file provided in QuickBooks.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Import Data.
  2. Choose either Invoices or Sales Receipts.
  3. Download the sample file to see the required format. Next, select Upload your CSV file. Then, either drag and drop or Browse to select your file. Click Next.
  4. Follow the onscreen steps to map the columns in your file to the correct fields in QBO. Once complete, hit Next.
