Question

I seem to be missing bank transactions for an entire month. They are on my bank statement but didn't download into my bank transactions in Quickbooks.

Hi, solidrockconst21. Sometimes transactions are missing due to posting delays from your bank. Most banks sync with QuickBooks every 24 hours, but the timing can vary.

To start with, log in to your bank’s website and check for any maintenance notifications or issues that might be preventing transactions from syncing.

If everything looks good on their end, you can proceed with a manual update. Go to the All apps> Accounting> Bank transactions. From there, select the correct bank and click Update. After that, check the Pending tab to see if any new transactions have appeared.

If you're still unable to find the transactions, you can follow the additional troubleshooting steps provided in this article to recover them: Find missing downloaded transactions in QuickBooks Online.

In the meantime, you can export them as a CSV file from your bank and manually import them into QuickBooks. Those same transactions might download again automatically, once the connection is restored. Keep an eye out so you can exclude any duplicates.
