I ajm using Quickbooks online, I need to adjust 2 T4 slips and the T4 summary, how do I adjust and still create an xml file

Welcome to QuickBooks Community!  It's essential that the information is accurate on the T4 slips, so you can submit them with confidence.  I'd be happy to help!

 

If you've noticed incorrect calculations on the T4 slip, I recommend contacting us outside of Community.  Our Customer Care team will have the ability to review the data and make any necessary corrections from our end.  For more information about amending T4 slips, click here.

 

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?) Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > enter "Contact support" > hit Contact Us > provide a brief summary of your situation > hit Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.

Thank you for the response but you did not answer the question.   How do I create an xml file, after I manually adjust T4 slips as QBO will not allow me to adjust a box in the view section.

Hi DawnB,

 

Thanks for getting back to me here.  Before completing the process to submit your employee's T4 summary to the Canada Revenue Agency, I recommend reviewing your Payroll Settings to ensure the required elements have been entered.  Here's how;

 

1. Go to Settings ⚙ and then Payroll Settings

2. Select the Edit ✎ to the right of the Federal Tax section

3. Enter the Business Number, Reference Number and T4 Transmitter Number

4. When complete, hit Save

 

Here's a detailed guide to assist you with creating the T4 .XML file so you can submit electronically on the CRA website.
