Why are my emails from quickbooks desktop going to classic outlook and not new outlook, how to I change it

When I send emails from Quickbooks desktop they are not in my new outlook 360 outbox.  I have to open classic outlook and then they get sent. How to I redirect them to the new outlook 360 outbox.  Also another question, in an update the sent from email address got changed and now the email on the form is not the email that the sent emails come from.  Where is the sent from email address located , it is not the one on the company template for the form being sent.

We can set up the new Outlook 365 as your default email client, Okohom.

 

While it is possible to use Outlook 365 without installing it locally to send reports and transactions from QuickBooks, please note that QuickBooks hasn’t been fully optimized to work seamlessly with this web-based application. As a result, its functionality may vary and is not guaranteed.

 

To configure Outlook 365 as a webmail provider in QuickBooks, follow these steps:

 

  1. Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Select Send Forms.
  3. Select Web Mail and Add.
  4. Fill out the Add Email Info and select OK.
  • Email Address: Your Email
  • Email Provider: Others
  • Server Name: outlook.office365.com
  • Port: 587
  • SSL: Yes
    5.Select OK to save your changes.

After completing these steps, the login page for your webmail provider will appear. Sign in and grant Intuit the necessary permissions to access your email account.

 

The sent from email address in QuickBooks Desktop is determined by the Email Preferences settings. You can verify this by reviewing your preferences or generating a sample form to test the settings.
