Hello all, I'm looking to make our workflow for accepting Credit Card payments as easy as possible, and one thing that I require is a credit card P.O.S./Terminal to help me take payments in the office. I love the feature to take payments online when i send out an invoice, but I have customers that prefer to come into our office and stick their card in a machine. Is there a terminal out there that integrates/syncs properly with Quickbooks Online (I'm in Canada) that can read the card information and put it into Quickbooks for us? I'd prefer a QB/1st party piece of hardware, but if that's not doable I'm open to other options. I just don't want the extra step of taking a payment on another software/gateway and then manually entering it into QuickBooks when they pay in the office. Thanks everybody!
We have US clients, that we are travelling to, but these travel expenses have gone into our CAD bank account on a certain exchange rate - and then when we invoice the client, it converts back to USD but not at amount that is listed on the receipt - usually differs a few cents or dollars. Is there a way around this to change the amounts so that they match the actual receipt, despite the exchange from USD to CAD and back to USD for invoicing? Thanks.
how come I don't see an option to show a mark-up on an item I buy and sell for more than what I paid?
I would like to have lines with set prices that I can use on many invoices rather then spending a lot of time typing each other. Each month invoices are different
10% holdback is standard in construction/consulting, so how does QBO process these?
I have seen that option when I initially set up the invoices but did not click on the payment by cheque option. I would now like to have that payment option on top of the e-transfers. Thanks
Anyone know how I can pull a customer's invoice & payment history but with the payment in the same line going across instead of a separate line? This way it's clear as day which invoice a payment was for. We have recurring invoicing and sometimes they'll miss one and things get out of sync. The Customer transaction list and statement don't show which invoice a payment belongs to. It just shows a date it was made.
Credit memo was created in April last year, and shows unapplied. Cheque was manually issued in December last year. Now I am wanting to clear out the credit memo by issuing a refund.
Client not getting prompted on invoice to pay by visa. Visa billing set up from my end. What am I missing?
I'm having an issue with Sales Receipts templates. I need to create a template that includes category and it appears there is an option for this (a checkbox like for the other options), but when I select it nothing happens. There is no category included in either the previews or the finished template. Is there some trick I'm missing?
Hello, I am syncing Jobber to Quickbooks. One of the common errors is that there is a rounding error from Jobber to Quickbooks. Jobber says to go into Quickbooks and correct the invoice. If the invoice has a discount I make the correction there. I do this and then I get the Notification: The transaction you are editing is linked to others. Are you sure you want to modify it? I know that there is a payment attached to this invoice. Is this just indicating that I have to correct the rounding error in the payment as well? I am new to QBO so I just want to be sure I am doing the right thing. Thanks,Nici
Two questions re: packing slips:1) In an older version of QB Desktop, after printing off a Packing Slip the Invoice template would automatically reappear. Is there a way to format QB 2021 to do the same? 2) If zero items are shipped (if all are backordered), the item line does not show up on the printed Packing Slip. This causes confusion with the customer, as they wonder if the item wasn't ordered or if they will not be receiving it. Is there a way to format the template to ensure all items ordered are visible (shipped or not)?Thank you!
Pretty sure invoice was correctly created with option to receive payment ticked. This is first one since getting that set up with qb
Not all a/p accounts affected, only some. QBO tech support response was to ask Sage. Doing that now, but also checking here. Thanks!
