HiHow do i get my account back to original settings.They appear to have updated the look and functionality for the worse, and i cannot work with this silly format.Can anyone advise how to get it back?For example... "All Sales".. all i had to do was click on the invoice to go into it... now i have a sub menu and then have to choose edit... also invoice messages (in the box provided) does not show on list view.So frustrating when these companies think they are changing things for the better!James
I have gone into settings-advanced and I was told there was a way to edit the language but that option is not available.
We have receive an email regarding a read only version of QBD to use after the discontinuation of QBD. The email contain a link to this: Download your QuickBooks Desktop data to your computer with the data export tool (intuit.com). To be honest we have all found this link to be very confusing. What we expected a 'read-only version' to look like was to keep our QBD and for you to just change our access to read only when we logged into it. So everything looks exactly the same except we cannot edit/add or delete anything in there. However, the link you have added is talking about downloading our data to our computer and then uploading them to a QBO company. Why can’t you just change the access our logins give us for our current QBD? I have many questions about the process. I understand that we take a copy of our QBD, just like we would if we were taking a normal back-up, but then the link asks us to upload to QBO.... so1)will we get all our COA, transactions, classes etc imported int
As John Lewis is withdrawing its broadband service and the support for associated email addresses I have had to change my email address. I have been able to change the email I use to log into QuickBooks and have found at least one other place that my email is held in the system. However emails from the QuickBooks Team about changes to the system and the like still go to my old email address. Clicking on the preference centre link in their emails does not allow change of the email address. I have had a couple of long conversations with QuickBooks staff but no resolution. Any ideas? Others must be having to change their John Lewis or Waitrose email addresses.

I would like to export a list of our in progress projects that we can print for quick reference in our office. I don't want any financial information - just a list of the projects and the customer. Is this possible?
I'm trying to migrate from Desktop 2021 to Online. However, I don't see a logon screen (where I presume I should) during the migration process. All I see in the 'Select Destination' area is a message that "You’ll need to update your software to access your Intuit Account here.". OK, seems easy, just run the update, not quite as simple as it seems. File Doctor fails with Error #12007. Searching the forum makes a number of suggestions, Firewall, AV, re-set updates, none of those help, I still get the constant Error #12007 here. Even tried manually downloading the update files, that didn't help. So as a last ditched attempt, I did an 'in place' reinstall. Which then needed the updates, and again, Error #12007. Running system is a Win11 Pro. So moved onto another Win 11 Pro system, and performed a fresh installation. Even after updating the new installation, I can't even get the 'Register product' screen to load, and here again I see the&n

We can only download the trip log, but we can't access the records to add further trips. This used to be a really useful feature, now it's unusable.Also, why are the log downloads based on income tax years? These should be based on the company's financial year. This is an accounting package, not income tax return software!

Updates seem to be running fine, except for one element - File Doctor. I've attached a screen shot which will hopefully help illuminate my issue. I've run through the tests identified in Get help with errors 12002, 12007, 12009, 12029, and 12031 when updating, but everything checks out fine. Anybody got any suggestions? Angus
HI There, I'm moving from Quickbooks Desktop to Quickbooks online. I already have layouts for my invoices in Quickboooks desktop, I'm surprised I can't import the .DES files or convert them to word. It would be a nice feature top add for conversion. Any way of converting them or loading them? Kindest regards Rosco
My QB can't fetch my data. It loads and that’s it, both app and browser. I already tried different browsers, incognito windows and deleting caches, but it's still not working. My Internet connection is good and all my apps are up to date.
Really disappointed, Auto-Tracking has not been working on my iPhone since April 2023 and I am having to manually turn on tracking every time I go out for a business trip? I’ve tried everything thats been posted on this community. I’ve been in touch with support, but they do not get back to me, so I’m afraid I will not be recommending QuickBooks to anyone else and have decided to use a third party application which I have to pay extra for to track my mileage, I was really expecting a better service then this and a solution to my issues. If anyone has had the same problem with a recent fix I’d be grateful for any suggestions, I have reported this a number of time through the apps trouble shooting but get the same answers but no solution.
A business contact has just forwarded me an article stating Quickbooks are closing some UK resources at the end of June 23, does anyone know if this will impact Quickbooks Self-Employed, I have not been contacted by Quickbooks so hoping I am not impacted. Thank you

Dear Forum Members,I can never understand why there is a section called 'products & services' under 'customers & leads' but not a section called 'components & services' under 'expenses'.It existed in the desktop version of QB but not in the online version.Is anybody aware of a workaround?Does anybody know the thinking behind this omission?How can this be added as a feature request?Many thanks for your help with this.Huib
We have been informed that all the Desktop versions (2020 and backward) will be discontinued.Can you please inform us what does this means?As far as I know if a QBs Desktop is discontinued you can still use it, however you can not get any updates, connect to the live chat, receive any support and also to use some functions such as payroll.
HiI completed my Quickbooks certification last year but have now changed jobs and moved to a different practice. There is no training history in the new company as Quickbooks is the least used software so only the full courses appear on the ProAdvisor training pages.Is there any way I can just take the annual renew or will I have to start the certification from scratch within my new company?ThanksGina
We regularly import multiple products into Products & Services by csv. However, it does not import CATEGORY into QBO which is a big issue for us as we have 1000s of products under multiple categories. Has anyone got a workaround for this. I have been sending feedback since Jan 2023 and I see from other posts this is an issue since 2020 and maybe before..
Is it possible to import my item list from desktop to online? 'move my books' seems not to be able to do that.
