Looking for the best approach to take converting to a new QBO system. I have been using QBO to create invoices and receive payments from my clients over the last 5 years. My bookkeeper was using their own QB Desktop version to enter journal entries and then that was submitted to my accountant. 1. It was suggested to me to create a new QBO system and import the journal entries from QB desktop which I have now done and the numbers match accordingly. 2. I have now exported all the invoices & details from the existing QBO system and want to import them into the new QBO system. However, I can't seem to find where I can get the payments from for the invoices that have been paid. Note that journal entries have been completed up to my 2020 year end. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best approach to finish this migration off?

Good Morning, I am sorry if this has already been covered in a previous discussion, I was unable to find it in my extensive research to complete this task.Majority of our customers are on a 30Day basis (from date of statement) which means, all invoices raised to their account in June is payable and due end July, how do I sent up this type of payment term?
I created a backup of my company to test a Multicurrency setup. In the test company, I edited the preferences for a multicurrency company. When I contacted support, I was told that a gain/loss account and an unrealized fx account would be set up automatically when I set up Multicurrency in the test company. Neither of these accounts are set up after posting a transaction - as a test transaction, I transferred funds between a CDN and a US bank account. I have also looked at a B/S the next month to see if anything re-valued at month-end, but I do not see the account. &nbs
I am looking the amount of the amount of sales tax paid on my eligible business expenses for GST/HST returns. I set the sales tax settings to Nova Scotia (15%) and put it into the detailed tax report report... however, I am now checking over the report using a reverse sales tax calculator & all of it is coming out to lower than 15%a limit or percentage of how much gst/hst businesses can claim back on exspenses? Maybe that’s why it’s set up at a lower percentage?
We use square, which automatically set up a liability account for tips received via credit card on square. We pay out the tips in cash each night. So my question is what would the journal entry be in order to show that the liability account for tips is going down? and what would the other part of the entry be?
I am a small ON based business. Normally when I incur expenses in ON, they automatically default to Ontario HST for categorization. I now have a number of business travel and meal expenses that need to be categorized which were all incurred in Quebec. The Quebec taxes are not a default option. Any advice and help are welcome. Thank you!
I enabled Miscrosoft 2FA for all users today and cannot seem to email from QB anymore - help?
We do tons of checks a month, and really need to start voiding checks in batch mode. Can you upload a VOIDed check in an IIF file? If not formally "void", can we just reverse the signs, and keep the CHeck Number? We just don't want all those checks looking like Outstanding Checks anymore. So, any batch processing way to void checks would be great. Thanks!
Hello, Is there a way to change the language of Quickbooks desktop premier 2021 to french ? Thanks. Marco.
Personal account has 90% personal transactions and I think I mistakenly added them as business transactions. Do I need to void all records or is it possible to convert all my records to personal in bulk and select the ones that are business one by one?
I have two QuickBooks files in use. Both are desktop versions. A coworker does create invoices, create sales receipts, receive payments only into one QuickBooks file. And I enter everything into a second QuickBooks file. The problem is that every month I have to enter the entries that my coworker did in her QuickBooks into my QuickBooks. Now we did the same job twice every month! Is there a way I can use her work simply? I am thinking of two solutions. One is using batch entries function; the other way is using IIF import and export. But if using IIF, the problem is that it will ask to export all transactions. It will be time consuming, because both QuickBooks files are big. and I only want transactions for a month to be exported. If I use batch entries, how does it work to meet my need? Can any guru give some suggestions? Many thanks in advance.
How do I get a copy of my QB onto my laptop
Hi all, Does anyone use Quickbooks Enterprise Canadian Edition hosted? We purchased the non-hosted version last year, but with us all working remotely we're struggling with it being slow, or having restricted access depending on the remote method of access. I'm considering upgrading to the hosted version, but it doubles the monthly cost... obviously worth it if it addresses the issues. Are all the features available in the hosted version? Are there any other benefits? Thanks,Aksinia
When going to Print Preview, when the PDF normally previews I only have a little blue box that says "Open" instead of viewing the document.
This is for QB Desktop Premier: I have a j/e that is in May for sales (debit A/R and Credit Sales). I also have the Customer name under the "name field" on the journal entry but it seems to be doing nothing. I have a payment being made in June for this j/e (debit cash and Credit A/R). Also using the Customer name in the "name field". How do I apply the "payment" journal entry in June to the May j/e? Normally I use the sales invoice/receive payments program but we have started a new billing program that integrates with QB and this is how it generates and pulls over the Sales. This new program does not generate a customer invoice so therefore everything is run through journal entry for receivables. Right now my Aged A/R shows an amount due under the 30-60 days but also shows a credit amount under the 1-30 days column. I need to merge these two numbers so that my A/R is not cluttered up.
Good afternoon all,I have QB Desktop Pro 2020 with Enhanced Payroll. When I enter a payroll check, the payroll tax liabilities are not showing up in the "Pay Taxes & Other Liabilities" window so that I can see what is scheduled/coming due. Any ideas as to what I can check? The liabilities are showing when I print a Payroll Liability Balances Report. Thank you!KShackleford
When my client files the Sales Tax report it shows correctly lines 101, 103, 106. But when it is FILED in QB, the program creates an AP, which is correct, but then assigns lines 103 to line 104 and line 106 to line 107?! How can I change this?
