Title says it. Came across an item in the Turnover by Item report that showed 2 sold when I knew 3 had been sold in 2025. The Item Quick report for the same item shows 0 on hand as of 12/31/2024, 3 purchased 2/25/2025, 1 sold on each 3/3, 8/15, and 11/25 and QOH at 0 as of 12/31/2025 so inventory all tracks correct. Here's whats interesting, the turnover report said last sell date was 11/25/25 (matching the item quick report), but that particular invoice, i noticed the QTY field was blank. Changed it to 1, saved and closed, and refreshed the turnover report, and now it shows 3 as it should. How can the same report that said the last sale date was 11/25, not reflect that sale in the report because the qty field was blank instead of 1? Most of what we sell on walk in sales, is not multiple qtys so that field is left blank more than it is filled in. Items that went through the estimate>sales order>Invoice process will have the qty set to 1 automatically if
Three weeks ago I had a notification that my Capital One credit card was no longer connected. I clicked the link to restore the connection and it said it was already sharing with QBO. After trying a few times, the credit card disappeared from my banking feed. It is still in my chart of accounts, but has not updated in 3 weeks. I have gone back to Capital One through Link Account on the banking page and it says it is still sharing. I have tried to get help from the limited chat app and a case was created. I have now received my second generic email saying they understand my frustration and are working and they promise to send the next email in another week. How do I restore my credit card feed?
Most of our customers pay several invoices with a payment that also includes deductions for things like advertising costs, shortage or damage claims, etc. we then issue a credit memo to apply to the resulting balance that remains on any invoice included in the payment. I set up an item "Advertising" linked to the Advertising Expense account, and then I set up sub-item to track advertising of specific products, because some of the advertising charges our customers deduct are for general advertising and some are for promotion of specific products. Over the past year, I created several credit memos with multiple line items for the various advertising deductions taken by customer. Now I am reviewing our sales data for specific customers, and I know the total for the item "Advertising" (general advertising), is much more than all product-specific advertising combined. However when I run a "Sales By Item Summary" report, the amounts from the credit memos for the s
When entering a Recurring Transaction that was created as a Reminder. The system is not recognizing that the entry was made and the next date doesn't change. How can I correct this issue?

Good afternoon, I need to access transaction details by class, and I do not see a clear report already available within QBO, so I am trying to create one. I started with Transaction Detail and wanted to add "class," but it is greyed out and not an option. Help! We currently have QBO Advanced. Thanks!
Example of problem: Within the "Pay Sales Tax" window, we click "Adjust", and then "Reduced Sales Tax by" to create a sales tax discount. Previously, that would create a line item in the Pay Sales Tax window which would be used to adjust (reduce) the payment to the Tax Agency. Unfortunately, the adjustment disappears and there is no sales tax discount line item to use in the Pay Sales Tax window. Only the line item for the Sales Tax due appears, which is not what we actually pay. Sales Tax Due: $14,000Sales Tax Discount: $35Payment (should be): $13,965 Payment of sales tax method above worked 100% of the time when used in the, very similar, Quickbooks Desktop Pro Plus. I was hoping someone here could help me. The company I work for was using Melio to pay vendors via ACH directly from QuickBooks Desktop (Enterprise 2021 version). Recently, Melio stopped working with QuickBooks. As per Melio, they are phasing out integration with QB. My company still needs a way to pay our vendor bills via ACH and we want to do it directly through QuickBooks, not an external 3rd party app or by using our bank "bill payment" option. I have been told that QuickBooks does offer Bill Pay but when I go to pay a vendor bill, the only option I see for payment method is print a check or pay via credit card. I do not see a pay via ACH option, I only see the 2 options I listed. I did contact QuickBooks customer support and after 3.5 frustrating hours I got nowhere. No agent knew how to turn this option on or if it even still existed because some articles point to a service that ended in 2019. So my question is:1. Does QuickBooks Desktop allow user to pay ven
We have been using Quickbooks since 2023. We started as a sole proprietor LLC with no employees and gradually expanded from there. We have had a payroll now for about a year and a half and it is FINALLY working seamlessly after many frustrations with set up. We are making the switch this year with the IRS to be an LLC electing S-Corp status. So the question is whether we have to create a new file with quickbooks or whether we can simply change the settings under advanced accounting and keep right on going. How is the best way to handle this transition in Quickbooks online?Thank you for your help.
The data from a custom field in a Customer's Information does not show in a Custom Transaction Detail report. Data I entered previously does show in the report, but the data I entered yesterday does not appear. I've tried refreshing, restarting, and rebooting but the newest data does not show up in the report. I'm using Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2017.
Our church has pre-paid for conference tickets in 2025, and our members will pay for the tickets in 2026. Currently our Budget Vs. Actuals report (under the ministry category) shows the ticket cost in 2025 as a $2,000 expense. Our 2026 Budget vs. Actuals report will show a $2,000 income in the ministry category (as people pay for the tickets), thus making our Expenses and Budget account inaccurate. How can I make the ticket purchase expense show in 2026, even though the tickets were actually purchased in 2025? Essentually it will be a wash as people pay for the tickets, but if we don't move that expense into the 2026 it will look like we have $2,000 MORE in our budget. I have tried using accrual accounting, but this does not work in this case, as we are talking about our budget vs. actuals report and making the expense show in the 2026 budget category, so that as the income is recevied in 2026 it will cancel out the expense. &nbs

Hello everyone,I’m hoping to get some feedback from the community on a local payroll tax issue I’ve encountered in QuickBooks Online Payroll, specifically related to Louisville Metro’s Occupational License Fees/Taxes (KY).If I understand the local rules correctly, personal use of a company car by an owner-employee of an LLC that files federally as an S-Corp is considered a taxable non-cash fringe benefit, to the extent it is taxable for federal income tax purposes. Here’s the situation I’m seeing in QBO Payroll:QBO correctly includes the taxable value of the personal-use vehicle in wages for federal purposes. However, Louisville Metro Occupational License Fees/Taxes are not being withheld on that amount during the year.As a result, Form W-2, Boxes 18 and 19 appear understated/incorrect for Louisville Metro. For context:The Louisville Metro Local Code defines EMPLOYEE broadly, including officers, and generally aligns with federal worker-classification concepts. The inclusion and withholding
New member here and I am not sure if this is posted in the correct topic. Single member LLC, we do repair and service work by mail, just myself and wife and we have been doing simple QB for 15 years. We had a product went missing in shipping while returning, it was insured for $1000, insurance company payed but upon ordering a replacement for customer, product had gone up so we will make a loss on the replacement, not worried as it is a good customer we have had for years, not sure how to account for everything, this is a new situation for us so any advise would be welcomed. This is what we have done so far. We have $1000 banked as income under insurance (we added this)New product has been purchased for $1250 and paid. We now need to remove product from inventory and show a loss of $250. Thank you. M

The Email ID is my default email address, and is the current default. When I try to send a statement via email I get an error that say QBDT cannot connect to my email server. What do I all need to do if an employee's payroll deposit was rejected through direct deposit? What all needs to be done to ensure everything in my QB is correct and the employee is paid? Let me explain the situation:I ran payroll on Sunday, Wednesday employees pay amounts were removed from my account. Friday, employees are paid through direct deposit. However, I was notified on Thursday night that one of my employees had changed banks and that the direct deposit information I had in QB was not accurate, so I quickly went into that employee's data and updated the direct deposit account information. I was hoping that potentially she would get paid to the updated account. However, I was notified she didn't receive a deposit. I checked my account for the past 4 days and it is still showing up as a debit and not credited back since I did get an email from QB stating the deposit was rejected and funds would be returned within 5 business days. QB is stating I can issue her a paper check
I have sales in two states throughout the year, Maine and Florida. When running my Maine Sales Tax Liability Report, it includes 4 sales from Florida. It does not include all sales from Florida, just these four. In reviewing the individual invoices, they show as being in Florida and the sales tax collected in that invoice is indicated as Florida state/county. What is going on?
