Cash Flow Reporting Innacurate

Hey y’all, new QuickBooks user here and I’m a bit lost. I had an invoice created in Early February. A partial payment was made on the invoice and i recorded this. I also did a bank deposit transaction to record the deposit. The issue is that this all happened in February and it’s not showing up on my cash flow statement. The invoice was due at the end of March. The amount paid was reduced from the money coming in in March but is not showing up as money in in the February section.

I have revenue collection in quarterly basis but expenses monthly. How do I see a report with revenue prorated across months? Otherwise month one shows cash rich.

Since revenue (all invoices are on month 1, month 1 shows very cash rich and doesn't give a real picture. It settles down at end of quarter but the reports during the quarter don't give a real picture.
