Hi,I only now restart my account for 2023 and closed my accounts for 2023 by entering the date of 31/12/2022 in the field "close the books".But when I make the first journal entries for 2023 with a date on 01/01/23 the journal entry number is not 1 but continues with the last number of 2022 + 1.The year before I managed to start at 1 for beginning of 2022. Did I miss a step in the year end operations?

Is it possible for me to generate and upload a budget using Spreadsheet Sync? Can Spreadsheet Sync be used to generate an Actual Vs Budget report? In the introductory video, I noticed there was an Actual Vs Targets feature, but it seems to be missing in the UK version. Could someone please verify if there is any connection between Spreadsheet Sync and the QBO budget?

I've recently started using a new accountant who is asking me to move onto their Quickbooks License. I've been using Quickbooks Online for years and now I need to transfer all of my invoice data from my current license to the new one.I've followed all the steps for creating a report and exporting the data to excel but for some reason I can only find invoices dated back to 01/05/20.I need to go back to invoice #1 and transfer all of my invoices. I've never backed up my invoices because I didn't think Quickbooks would delete old ones. Thanks
Hi All,I have having problems with my Balance Sheet. My data was imported from Sage about 2 years ago and I am convinced my problems are as a result of this import But I don't know how to fix it. My year is July 1st to June 30th.A lot of entries in the Balance sheet only contain a beginning balance and I did not enter any beginning balances so this is what I am assuming happened at the time of the data transfer from Sage to QuickBooks. My question is how to safely deal with these items and remove them from the balance sheet. There are also entries for people's wages and tax but these people no longer work here, yet these entries are in my Balance sheet. Wages are done by creating a journal and inputting all of the wage information for all staff into that journal is this the best way to record wages? The journal is sent to a category called "Wages Expenses" and when the wages come into the bank the individual entries are also sent to the "Wages Expense" category, is this correct or is t
Hi Is it possible to run an aged debtor report that shows the current status of things that were outstanding at a past date. As an example, running the aged debt report for 31st July but accounting for subsequent cash receipts. Sage does this. Does Quickbooks Online?
Since early retirement and doing a few "jobs", HMRC have been fairly useless, im using my old UTR number and my cis tax deductions have been paid into it, but its dormant.. I need to get things sorted with HMRC but want to transfer everything to quickbooks first
Is there a way to automatically get the Product/Service description when importing invoices or credit notes using a template? I've been using this method but every time the invoice or credit note is created, it only shows the Product/Service but not the description. I have to add them manually, which takes a long time.
I am adding a memo to every invoice, on which report can I see the invoice memo?
not all my journals have posted
We give clients an option to pay in installments over several months. We record in quick books as an invoice and receive payments against that invoice and we only issue them the product (and therefore incur costs of sale) when the invoice is fully paid. This has caused issues with year-end report in quickbooks, which counts the full value of the invoice as income (for example, say an invoice of 5000 is raised in year 1 but due in year 2. Even if the customer only paid 500 in year 1, quickbooks shows the full 5000 as income of year 1 when I run a profit and loss report. How can I fix that?
Can anyone explain why the Dashboard section called "Income" does not correspond with the amount owing on the Aging Summary Report? Thank you
